| Details At Gateshead Report The Commonwealth Games trials were held at Gateshead this weekend with athletes aspiring to gain selection for Delhi on August 18th. The Games will be held in October. On Saturday Adam Scarr was disappointingly 3rd with a 2.14m leap, although he has cleared the qualifying height no less than 4 times this year. Sunday proved to be a first ever Senior title for Darren St Clair as he won the 800m in a slow race but he has achieved the standard twice in recent weeks and is showing good form for the Games.
